Life size Mother and Child in Bronze

CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO SEE THEM ENLARGE A new church was designed for the Parish at St. Bernard's, Glengormley, Belfast, Northern Ireland. The architects, Dempsey Architects, commissioned Michael on behalf of their Client to execute a Mother and Child in bronze for the main body of the church. The initial drawings were for a seated Mother and Child, 1.8 metres in height to be executed in timber. However, the final design is of a standing Mother holding her child which measures 1.68 meters in height and is cast in bronze. This sculpture was cast in the foundry CAST LTD, South Brown Street, Dublin.
