This cartoon depicts a homeless mother and exhausted child resting on roadside. The idea for the piece was generated whilst researching contemporaneous observations made in the West of Ireland at the time of the Famine.	This is an image of the final sculpture. It measures 61 cms x 46 cms. It is mounted on a granite stone outside the Catholic Church in the village of Cappamore
